Advancing AI in Education

EPFL provides AI education through courses and projects for students in all faculties, with opportunities for continuous learning available to the broader community.

This educational emphasis is not limited to specific EPFL departments or faculties as we ensure institution-wide coordination to create an integrated approach to AI teaching and education.

AI in education involves evolving practices supported by research. At EPFL, AI helps teachers leverage its opportunities, enhancing both teaching and student learning.

Propelling AI forward: Building an AI ecosystem

The EPFL AI Center builds on an interdisciplinary community for teaching consisting of 95+ professors, 400+ researchers working on all aspects of AI.

EPFL AI Center’s efforts extend beyond EPFL, reaching out to the broader community. One of the ways we achieve this is through the organization of workshops and conferences, with the notable example being the Applied Machine Learning Days (AMLD) , recognized as one of the Europe’s largest AI conferences. AMLD is an opportunity for experts, professionals and enthusiasts to come together, fostering a collaborative environment for the exchange of ideas and insights in the rapidly evolving field of AI.

Through a combination of AI-related courses, hands-on projects and impactful events, we strive to empower students and the community alike with the skills and insights to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the dynamic field of AI.

With this collaborative approach, we are aiming to transfer EPFL’s expert understanding of crucial AI technologies to society.

AI Product Management (AIPM) Program

AI Product Management (AIPM) empowers the next generation of product leaders (students, professionals, and teams) to turn AI/ML theory into real-world impact. Whether through a semester-long course or an intensive sprint, AI PM blends strategic thinking with hands-on methods to help participants identify the right AI opportunities, build meaningful products, and bring them to life. Designed by EPFL experts and industry leaders, the program bridges cutting-edge research and practical product delivery.

  • Graduate Course (CS-500)
Designed for graduate students with a solid foundation in AI/ML, this course empowers them to build and manage real-world AI products. It helps bridge the gap between theory and application—teaching how to spot AI opportunities and decide when and how to apply them.
  • AIPM Sprint Program
A 3-day intensive training for professionals eager to upskill in AI product management. Participants gain practical tools to navigate the full AI product lifecycle—from ideation and strategy to development and launch.
  • AIPM Tailored Program
A customizable version of the AIPM Sprint, adapted to your team’s goals—whether focused on AI product discovery, development, or delivery. Ideal for corporate or startup teams seeking targeted learning experiences.
